Răzvan Dincă Raț (born 26 May 1981 in Slatina) is a Romanian footballer who currently plays as a left back for Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk and the Romanian national team.

Career

Club

Raț started out his career at Romanian Premier League club Rapid București in 1998. In 2003, he was signed by Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, where he is a key player.

International

Raț has been in the Romanian national team since 2002. In 2008, he was on the main squad for the UEFA Euro 2008 tournament. He helped Romania to a 0–0 draw against previous FIFA World Cup finalists France and a 1–1 draw against world champions Italy in the so-called "group of death". However, Romania was eliminated after a 2–0 loss to Holland.
